These boxes contain clippings, newspaper sections, pamphlets and other descriptive and historical printed materials about Longmont, Colo. that were collected by Mabel Downer Durning. Most of the material was assembled between 1971 (Longmont's Centennial) and 1996 (Longmont's 125th Celebration), and used by Durning to write "The Chicago-Colorado Colony Founding of Longmont. 1871-1872." Box 1 also contains two envelopes of photographs taken during the 125th Celebration in 1996.
